Peas, Potatos and more Peas
No pictures for this quick post. We still have peas coming out our ears, so we pick, we blanch, we freeze. We have tons in the freezer, they should last quite a while. Then there are the 29 potato plants . . . what are we going to do with all those potatos you ask . . . we will mash them, bake them, and make hash browns to freeze, we will also can some. On another note we have a pesky little gopher who is eating really well. We were pulling weeds and we accidently pulled up one of our potato plants, the discovered that every one of those potatos under that one potato plant had been either half eaten or had a bite taken out of it. So we proceeded to dig up other potato plants and the littls sucker dug a tunnel directly under our potato plants and feasted on every one of them . . . yes that is what I said every one of them. I'm have decided that I am going to camp out at the garden with my husbands shot gun and blast the little sucker. James will needs lot's of luck while I am in Maine, he will be picking and canning the whole time I am gone.
